Awards 
The Spirit Woman, the seventh novel in the Wind River series, received the 2001 Willa Award (named in honor of Willa
Cather) for Best Novel of the West. It also received the 200l Colorado Book Award and was the finalist for the Western
Writers of America Spur Award.
The Eagle Catcher, the first novel in the series, was nominated for the Colorado Book Award. The Dream Stalker, the third novel in the series, was nominated for the Colorado Book Award. Margaret Coel was named a 2001 finalist for the Romance Writers of America Lifetime Achievement Award. |
